President Mnangagwa Presides Over ZPCS Pass-Out Parade

The Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, presided over the pass-out parade of courses 154 and 155 of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) in Ntabazinduna.

A total of 1,622 recruits graduated, consisting of 1,109 males and 513 females.

The President inspected the parade and presented awards and certificates to outstanding correctional officers. Speaking at the event, President Mnangagwa remarked:

“Today’s pass-out parade symbolises the end of a physically and intellectually demanding transformative phase of being nurtured into determined correctional officers. It also marks the beginning of a new and challenging career.”

He further highlighted the importance of technology in modern correctional services, stating,

“My Government is committed to digital technology, which is the cornerstone of modernisation, industrialisation, and efficient service delivery to drive sustainable economic growth for our country. The appropriate use of technology in the correctional domain can significantly enhance security and efficiency.”

The President underscored the values required for service in the security forces, emphasizing that, “Being a member of the security services requires unwavering loyalty, unwavering discipline, and strong commitment to serve our motherland Zimbabwe.”

Commending the recruits, he added, “The quality of the parade reflects the dedication and hard work put forth. Well done.”

The event not only celebrated the achievements of the graduating recruits but also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to fostering professionalism and excellence within Zimbabwe’s correctional services.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the recruits’ careers as they prepare to contribute to the security and development of the nation.
