Higher Education Deputy Minister Removed from Office

HARARE- The Zimbabwean government has announced the removal of Hon. Simelisizwe Sibanda from the Office of Deputy Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development. The removal was effective immediately.
The decision was made by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in accordance with Section 108(1a) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe. The statement issued by the Office of the President and Cabinet did not provide further details on the reasons behind the removal.
