ZRP sees through CCC poor attempt at trickery

Nelson Chamisa`s Citizens Coalition for Change overestimated their dexterity when they applied to assemble for an illegal protest, under the guise of a clean up campaign.
The party, known for seeking optics of unrest whenever there is a major international event coming –like the SADC 42nd Summit which is around the corner – had written to the ZRP seeking to clean at Chisipite Shopping Centre.
The request came a few days after the National Clean Up Campaign.
The letter from the Officer Commanding Harare Urban District O Chuma read;
“I acknowledge receipt of your notification letter dated August 2 2022 whereby you intend to hold a Cleanup Campaignon August 12, 2022 from 10.00hrs to 13.00hrs at Chisipite Shopping Centre, Harare.
However, you are welcomingly advised as a nationalistic citizen communally join hands on the set aside National Cleanup Campaign Day for the sanitation of our environment which is the first Friday of each Month, of which this August 2022 is on the fifth day,” the response said.
I thank you in advance for your cooperation. By copy of this letter the Officer in Charge ZRP Highlands has been advised of this event.”
Observers say the attempt by CCC is just an attempt to stir the hornet`s nest before SADC heads of state convening.
