Zimbabwe Republic Police Records Six Murder Cases In The Past Two Days

Murder cases are on the rise in the country, with a shocking six suspected murder cases having been recorded in the past two days.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, 18-year-old Edith Samanyanga was allegedly brutally murdered by her husband, Sydney Katerere, on the 18th of this month after she allegedly confessed to having an affair with his uncle. Her young life, full of promise and potential, was extinguished in a fit of rage.

The following day, Rambai Myambo, a 33-year-old man from Chipinge fell victim to his own brother’s hands, allegedly due to a dispute over a woman. His family now grapples with the unimaginable loss of a loved one at the hands of a relative.

Still on the same day, Egnes Mandenge aged 53, was found brutally murdered in a bushy area in Kadoma with her body bearing signs of a vicious attack.

A young, unidentified man was found dead near a church cemetery in Chitungwiza on Tuesday this week.

On Wednesday, a 2-year-old infant was brutally murdered by his mother’s ex-boyfriend.

The child was subjected to unimaginable cruelty after he was rammed into a wall.

The incident occurred in the absence of the mother who had gone for a sleep over in Zengeza 5 suburb, leaving the victim and his two sisters.
