President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Chikomba Village, Mashonaland East to preside over late Agriculture Minister (Rtd) Chief Air Marshall Perrance Shiri’s memorial service.

Cde Shiri succumbed to Covid-19 related complications on July 29 last year.

The ceremony is attended by a limited number of relatives, villagers and top political leaders including Vice President (Rtd) General Constantino Chiwenga.

There is a strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols as seen through numerous temperature testing points, Covid-19 testing booths and wash points.
Cde Shiri was a torch bearer in Zimbabwe’s agricultural renaissance, and the bumper harvest realised by the country is a culmination of his hard work.
