Despite qualifying for the Afcon finals, Zimbabwe men`s national football team has promised to treat their match with Zambia tonight seriously.

Zimbabwe are playing their northern neighbours at National Sports Stadium.

At a pre-match presser exciting Warriors Midfielder Ovidy Karuru said they will not be taking any chances against Zambia, saying they will be seeking a win.

“We are going to play the game tomorrow to win, for the pride of the nation. There is no joy in qualifying when we lose the final qualifier. It will be exciting because most of the players across the teams know each other,” said Karuru.

Speaking at the same briefing Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic promised to give some new players game-time to showcase their Talent.

“We are going to give time to players who have not had enough time to showcase what they can do for the national team
We also have to protect players carrying yellow cards from being suspended for the first game at the Afcon finals,” said coach Logarusic.

The teams` last six meetings produced three wins apiece.

Zambia will be fighting to finish at number three and hope Botswana lose to Group leaders Algeria in another match of the group.

Zimbabwe and Algeria qualified for next year’s Afcon Competition to be held in Cameroon.
The match starts at 9 pm.
