Zimbabwe`s Covid-19 numbers continue to rise with the latest situational report from the Ministry of Health and Child Care showing that the country recorded 2 264 new cases.

The figure is emerging from a tally of 10 362 tests, which means that of every 10 people tested, two came out positive.

Cumulatively, the Covid-19 active case tally has reached 15 924, while the recovery rate has further dropped to 70 percent.

Zimbabwe is expecting to arrest the rise in numbers through an aggressive vaccination programme which is already underway.

Local authorities have received vaccines and have been inviting their residents to avail themselves for inoculation.

Tomorrow, Zimbabwe is taking delivery of two million doses which are already in transit and are expected tomorrow afternoon.
