The COSAFA cup was an easy task for the Zimbabwe Warriors until Zdravko Logarusic came to the fray.

Loga as he is referred to in the media, becomes the first coach to fail to record a victory at the cup.

Zimbabwe has bowed out of the COSAFA tourney in South Africa, failing to progress beyond the first round.

This is despite his selection which included some senior players like Ovidy Karuru and Washington Arubi.

He even had the liberty to field Europe based players like Martin Mapisa (Zamora CF), Nyasha Dube (Little Rock Rangers, USA) and Jonah Fabisch (Hamburger SV) but could not eke out any decent result.

He drew 2-2 with Malawi, presided over a goalless draw with Mozambique, lost 2-0 to Namibia and suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Senegal.

This is the first time Zimbabwe has scored a single goal at COSAFA.

Observers have asked why Zimbabwe keeps entertaining Loga, who has won one out of eleven fixtures.
His record is worrying, as the country is about to restart its World Cup qualifying campaign which was disrupted by Covid-19.
