The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced the adjusted the men`s national team squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifier matches against South Africa and Ethiopia/

Coach Zdravko Logarusic had to make some changes after Zifa failed to secure the services of some foreign based stars due to Covid-19 restrictions in their countries

The clubless duo of Warriors Vice Captain Ovidy Karuru and Jimmy Dzingai were dropped from the current squad, as they are still club hunting.

Last week, PSL clubs announced that they will not release players whose mother countries are on Covid-19 red list.

Marvellous Nakamba Tendai Darikwa, David Moyo and Admiral Muskwe are some of the affected players.

Defenders Godknows Murwira of Dynamos, FC Platinum’s William Stima and Kelvin Moyo who is unattached at the moment have been drafted into the squad.

In midfield, the coaches have called up the South African-based duo of Farai Madhanhanga and Ishmael Wadi alongside talented winger Silas Songani from defending Premier league champions, FC Platinum.

Former Bosso striker Knox Mutizwa of Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership has also been called up.

A curious omission is that of Prince Dube, who was said to be injured but scored a goal in his club`s pre-season match last week.
