ZETDC notifies of power outage in Harare region

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has told residents in some sections of Harare that there will be power outages.

This is due to faulty equipment, which will undergo repairs.

A number of critical cables were burnt at the Southerton substation and there is an underground cable fault at the feeder in Mount Pleasant area.

Areas likely to be affected are Southerton Residential area and Lorna Road, Stafford Road, Tudely Road and parts of The Chase road in Mount Pleasant area.

ZETC said its engineers and technicians are working to rectify the situation and normal service is expected by end of the day on Monday, July 5, 2021.
