The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reduced the prices of diesel and petrol in both Zimbabwe and United States dollars for the week 18 to 24 July 2022.

Diesel now costs ZWL$714.45 down from ZWL$714.91 per litre. Petrol now costs ZWL$ZWL$675.35 down from ZWL$677.32 per litre.
Diesel and Blend prices, in that order, were reduced from $1.86 and $1.76 per litre to $1.80 and 1.70. ZERA said in a public notice :

“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.

“Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price releases by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle.

Fuel Saving Tip from ZERA: TYRE PRESSURE – Always keep tyres inflated with the correct pressure. A tyre that is underinflated can reduce fuel economy.

The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio remains at E15.

Prices have been set in accordance with oil price patterns on the international market, which the Authority is continuously monitoring.

Zimbabwe has seen continued fuel price increases since the beginning of the year with the ripple effects often reflected in similar increases in prices of goods and services.

The energy regulator’s innovative and rigorous review of the fuel price build up is aimed at achieving a sustainable least cost pump price for consumers.
