Zera Announces Drop in Fuel Prices

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Energy Regulation Authority (Zera) has announced a drop in fuel prices for petrol and diesel effective April 6.
In its latest update, the regulator said blended petrol is now pegged at US$1,61 per litre from US$1,62 while consumers will now fork out US$1,64 per litre for diesel down from $1.67.
Zera last reviewed fuel prices on March 8.
“Please be advised of the fuel prices for diesel and blend effectively April 6, 2023. The prices are as follows:
Diesel 50 (ZWL/litre) ZWL1 546.59 up from ZW$1 499.26 or US$1.64 per litre down from US$1.67,
“Blend – E10 (ZWL/litre) ZWL US$1 522.76 or US$1.61 per litre.”
The regulatory body also advised the public and operators that the blending ratio is at E10.
“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place, as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” said Zera.
