ZB robbery case continues

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is still pursuing suspects believed to have played a part in the famous Chinhoyi road robbery where ZB Bank lost over US$2 million in a robbery.

In a statement, ZRP said they are looking for Parson Matengambiri, Shadreck Njowa and Nyasha Chitera who allegedly were part of the heist in January this year.

“The suspects who were in company of 11 other gang members robbed the complainants of cash amounting to USD$2775000 and ZWL$43090 which belonged to the local financial institution ZB Bank. The 11 suspects were arrested and the matter is pending before court, “ wrote Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi.

ZB Bank has put up some reward money for anyone who can volunteer information which will lead to the trio`s arrest.

Each suspect is attracting USD$5000.

Meanwhile, police in Murewa are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Tichatongq Nyamukondiwa and Derick whose last known address is Murisa Village in Seke.

“The two are wanted for a case of robbery which occurred on March 31, 2021 at Katsande Business Centre in Mudzi. The suspects robbed the complainant USD$20000 cash, 700 grams of processed food and a Nissan Caravan vehicle,” wrote Assistant Commissioner Nyathi.
