ZANU PF First Secretary President Emmerson has reaffirmed his party`s commitment to delivering development and prosperity to the people of Zimbabwe.

Since coming into power, President Mnangagwa`s administration has pursued a development trajectory, which is already bearing fruit.

Delivering a keynote address to the Communist Party of China (CPC) and World Political Parties virtual Summit hosted by the CPC Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Mnangagwa said the shared values between China and Zimbabwe must culminate into strengthened cooperation.

The Summit ran under the theme, “For the people’s wellbeing: The responsibility of political parties”.

President Mnangagwa, on behalf of his party ZANU PF, government and the people of Zimbabwe, congratulated the Communist Party of China on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.

“On behalf of ZANU PF, I wish to convey my congratulations to the people of China for their 100th anniversary. China has been Zimbabwe’s strategic partner and the ZANU PF party supports the government in boosting cooperation with China, guided by our shared values,” he said.

President Mnangagwa highlighted how the ZANU PF government has shifted and adopted a new developmental model that ensures a constant improvement in the wellbeing of the greater majority of the people through highly impactful projects and developmental policies.

The government of ZANU PF has put deliberate policies in place to ensure that the people remain at the centre of all activities, to ensure exclusivity and unity of purpose.

ZANU PF, President Mnangagwa said, continues to draw invaluable lessons from the CPC and is confident that the CPC will achieve its set goal of realising happiness for its people.

“On our part, ZANU PF is unwavering in advancing sustainable development which leaves no one behind.

As such, the aspirations of our people remain the focus of all party and government efforts,” said President Mnangagwa.

Through development blueprints as the National Development Strategy 1, the ZANU PF government is determined to roll out developmental programs that impact the grassroots.

The policies are tailor-made to address the needs of all citizens and ultimately deliver uniform development that is envisaged to improve livelihoods and foster a sense of satisfaction.

Such economic victories as the progressive reduction of inflation, macro-economic stability, a relentless fight against corruption and general discipline within the party are some of the notable achievements towards the attainment of set goals.

“These priorities, along with our quest to deliver a broad-based transformation, creating new wealth and opportunities for all Zimbabweans are enshrined in the NDS1. The success of NDS1 depends on us but Zimbabwe values the contributions from our partners such as the Communist Party of China and the government of China,” said the President.

President Mnangagwa thanked the People’s Republic of China for its contributions to Zimbabwe’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
China dispatched medical experts, medical equipment, Personal Protective Equipment and recently Covid-19 vaccines.

To that end, he expressed gratitude to China’s contribution to and promotion of multilateralism in the fight against Covid-19.

To the ZANU PF party and Zimbabwe, China has stood the test of time as a dependable partner, which has never deserted us even in the most difficult of times.

It was China, Russia, Cuba and the other progressive countries that assisted Zimbabwe until the attainment of independence in 1980.
