A speeding motorist, today fatally hit a woman believed to be in her twenties along Seke Road in Harare.
Police National Spokesperson Asst Comm Paul Nyathi told TateguruTV that 31-year-old Courage Gwezhira was the one driving the BMW X6 which fatally hit a woman along Seke Road earlier today
The incident, which happened around mid-day near Caldon involved a luxurious vehicle, a BMW X6, which which according to the police was being driven by a 31-year-old man identified as Courage Gwezhira.
Witnesses say the vehicle was moving at a high speed and hit a woman who was crossing the road.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident.
ZRP National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the accident to Tateguru over the phone.
“The accident happened along Seke Road near a Zuva Service Station at around 1208 hours when a BMW X6 vehicle which was travelling towards Chitungwiza hit a woman aged +/-20 who was trying to cross the road from West to East,” he said.
Asst Comm Nyathi said the vehicle was being driven by one Courage Gwezhira, a man aged 31.
He said investigations are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances around the mishap.
