War veterans have asked to be included in the country`s fight against corruption, saying their ideological orientation will give impetus to the cancer affecting economic growth.

Reading the ruling party`s newest wing`s conference resolution, the newly appointed Secretary for Legal and Womens Affairs Cde Jairo Mapungwana.
“Your Excellency, as war veterans we ask to be considered for appointment to national boards and commissions. We have the ideological grounding, we can foster patriotism in these institutions.
Of particular interest is the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission, during the war we were taught that it is bad to steal from one`s country. I think those teachings have to be brought to institutions like ZACC,” said Cde Mapungwana.
In their resolutions, war veterans also asked for there to be a war veterans quota in parliament.
President Mnangagwa said he will consider the requests by war veterans, as it is his Government`s responsibility to listen to all, especially those who played a key role in the liberation of the country.
War Veterans said they are going to immediately embark on a campaign crusade, sharing the values of the revolution to all Zimbabweans just like they did during the days of the liberation struggle.
