War Veterans League holds the inaugural National Assembly

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa today attended the Inaugural ZANU-PF War Veterans League National Assembly today at the ZANU-PF headquarters in Harare.

This follows the setting up of the fourth wing in Party Structures as a strategic wing of the Ruling Party obligated by Article 32, Section 428, of the Party’s Constitution.

The mandate of the wing is to reflect on the road navigated and milestones that the Party and Government have achieved.

The War Veterans League constitutes of War Veterans, Ex-Detainees, Political Prisoners, Restictees and War Colaborators.

“You have a weighty responsibility to guide and participating successful implementation of our Party resolutions and policies

Our duty remains anchored on serving the masses and our people towards more prosperous lives. To this end, our membership and structured must always be kept active, we’ll oiled, galvanised and updated on the various projects and programmes of the Party,” said President Mnangagwa.

He also told attendants that he intends to leave noone and no place behind in the mantra ‘Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo’ mantra, making National development an all inclusive agenda.

“I, therefore expect to receive comprehensive proposals on programmes to be rolled out by the League. In this regard my Administration is ready to facilitate the broad-based empowerment of your membership so that you fully participate in the economy,

as industrialisation, modernisation and National development agenda,” added President Mnangagwa.

He assured the War Vaterand League that Government remains committed to facilitating access to social services, education, pensions, specialised, medical facilities and medical policy schemes and post War counselling.

President Mnangagwa bemoaned the continued dwindling numbers in these ranks as the gallant sons and daughters pass on.
