President Emmerson Mnangagwa has clearly stipulated his stance on the future of the country saying it is in the hands of the young generation.

Speaking at the Commissioning of the Fruit and Vegetable processing plant in Mutoko today, the President did not shy away from highlighting the importance of the young generation in shaping a better Zimbabwe.

“We want to change the mind-set of our younger generation because the future is in their hands. I urge chiefs to help empower people in their communities. I would like to assure the youth that my Government and the ruling party will support and fund projects which would have been introduced in the communities that empower the youth,” he said.

The President went on to express his gratitude to the African Development Bank (AFDB) and the Youth Bank for funding such an initiative which is meant to empower and promote the youth.

The Mutoko Royal Fruit and Vegetable Processing Hub, which was successfully commissioned today by the President, was funded by AFDB with the aim of empowering youths and promote value addition.

It has a capacity to produce tomato puree, mango juice and many other fruit based products.
