The ruling party ZANU PF, has courted top dancehall acts to entertain thousands of its members expected to attend the by-election campaign launch, slated for tomorrow at Domboramwari in Epworth.
President Mnangagwa, as the party`s First Secretary, will headline the event in Epworth.
The ruling party has enlisted top dancehall stars such as Fantan, Levels, Enzo Ishall, Jah Master, Bazooka, Pumacol, Uncle Epatan and Gina Marina.
Automan, Shashl, Yaya Goodvibes, Ras Pompy and Ras Caleb will also be among the entertainers at Domboramwari Secondary School.
Chief Shumba, who is riding high on his song Musangano Kumasero, will also be on the roster.
The rally, described by ZANU PF Spokesperson Cde Chris Mutsvangwa as the mother of all rallies is heavily anticipated.
Besides the artists, the event is supposed to bring sweet music to the ears of many home owners in Epworth as they will receive title deeds to their properties.
“I am confidently told that by now probably 80 000 houses have been mapped and given addresses. The President will be there to give each one an address, an identity,” Cde Mutsvangwa told journalists at a recent presser at ZANU PF HQ.
Zimbabwe had postponed the holding of the by-elections citing the COVID-19 pandemic, however, now that the conditions allow, President Mnangagwa set March 26 as the date for the polls.
