Zimdancehall chanter, Silent Killer, real name Jimmy Mudereri was yesterday arrested for bashing dancehall producer Dj Fantan’s young brother Tinashe Kamudyariwa.
Early in the day yesterday, a rumour circulated saying Kamudyariwa had died from the bashing he received.
However, it was letter revealed that despite being severely injured, Kamudyariwa was still alive.
Fantan confirmed the arrest saying Silent was apprehended by the police at a house in Mbare, where he was keeping his unconscious young brother.
In a voice statement Dj Fantan said his young brother is battling for dear life.
DJ Fantan said up to now they are not sure of what led to the savage attack.
Kamudyariwa is currently admitted at Harare hospital where he is seeking treatment.
“We ferried him to Harare Hospital and he was in a serious condition. He had an open wound on his head, our fear is that he might suffer from internal bleeding,” said DJ Fantan.
National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“Silent Killer was arrested by ZRP Mbare and he is in custody at Mbare Stodart,” said Assistant Commissioner Nyathi.
Silent Killer’s three accomplices are still on the run.
