High riding musician Roki will tomorrow headline the Heroes Day virtual concert set for tomorrow evening.

Roki, who is currently riding high on the back of his new song Patati Patata featuring rhumba veteran Koffi Olomide, is set to be the highlight of the event.

Tomorrow is Heroes Day, a day meant to commemorate contributions by selfless liberation fighters who risked life and limb to fight for Zimbabwe`s independence.

The celebration, which in preceding years would have seen full stadiums, will be confined to musicians and technical contributors, while the rest of the country follows proceedings online due to Covid-19.

The show will be broadcasted live on the ZTN YouTube channel, Zimpapers Television Network on Facebook, Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Facebook page and on ZBC TV.

The show will start at 8.30p.m.

Other artists who will perform at the show include Aleck Macheso, Lernard Zhakata, Sulumani Chimbetu, Selmor Mtukudzi, Sandra Ndebele, Tocky Vibes, Trevor Dongo, Herman, Jah Signal, Iyasa, Novula and many more.

This is the day of remembrance to commemorate the commitment of Zimbabweans to the struggle for independence, during which thousands perished.

Small gatherings are expected for Heroes Day commemorations with the main event to be attended by 200 fully vaccinated people at the National Heroes Acre, where President Mnangagwa will confer medals on 16 recipients in various categories of honours and awards.
