Robbers in Harare continue to wreak havoc in the capital with the most recent case involving five suspected gangsters who robbed a gas company of over US$33 000.
“Police in Harare are investigating a case of robbery which occurred along an unnamed dust road at Damafalls Industrial area, Ruwa on 31/05/23. Five suspects travelling in a Honda Fit vehicle intercepted a Toyota Wish vehicle with two complainants who operate a gas company,” said the police.
“The suspects disarmed the complainants of a Tokarev pistol before stealing a cellphone and U$33 214.00 being cash for a day’s sales. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police station.”
Meanwhile, police in Masvingo have arrested Clever Mavhunga (35) and Modina Mavhunga (28) in connection with a case of murder that occurred on 29/05/23 at Mhari Village Bikita.
The suspects, Fredrick Shamba (36) and Nyenyesai Tevera tied the victim with a rope before assaulting him with switches all over the body, until he died, after accusing him of stealing Nyenyesai Tevera’s money, said the police.
