The Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (Zimsec) has provided a lifeline to learners who missed the deadline for the November 2021 examination registration deadline.

They have opened a special 21-day registration window, which ends at September 31.

During this period, those who could not register for various reasons can now do so within the stipulated period.

In a statement, Zimsec said during this special registration period penalties will be waived and the registration fees remain unchanged.

“The Zimbabwe School Examination Council would like to inform all its valued Center Heads, Candidates, Parents and stakeholders that a Special Registration Facility is being opened to accommodate candidates who failed to register during the registration period.

All Parents and candidates are advised to take advantage of this window to ensure that they have registered for 2021 Examination session and Submitted any amendments where applicable,” read the statement from Zimsec.

Zimsec`s flexibility has received plaudits from observers who say there is marked change from the institution`s strictness, which is being replaced by empathetic decision making.
