Queen Elizabeth’s Consort, Prince Phillip Dies.

The husband of Queen Elizabeth 2, Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh has died.

Queen Elizabeth’s husband of 73 years, who was the longest serving consort in British history died today at the ripe age of 99.

Prince Phillip’s death was announced in a statement by Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the monarchy.

He passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle.

The statement from Buckingham Palace read; “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty, The Queen, announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Thee Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

Prince Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families in Greece but was exiled from the country when he was an infant.
