Professor Mararike dies

Professor Claude Mararike, an academic and lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe has died.
He was 82.
Professor Mararike was mostly known for his appearance in ZBC TV talk show Zvavanhu as a guest.
Commonly known as Igwe in his circles, the professor whose household name in culture and tradition has appeared on several programs both on TV and radio programs.
He co-hosted Chikristu neTsika with Gift Mabhaudhi on Radio Zimbabwe for almost 10 years.
He featured on Zvavanhu, a Tv program with the likes of Vimbai Chivaura, Professor Sheunesu Mpepereki and Tafataona Mahoso.
Professor Mararike has various publications which include, Grassroots Leadership (1995), African Heritage: Our rallying point (2001), Sports, Juju and the Human Factor development (2004), The Human Approach to Development in Africa (1998).
