President to open the Rotary International conference
President Emmerson Mnangagwa will this evening officially open the Rotary International District Conference at Mana Resorts.
The conference which runs under the theme, “Enjoy Rotary, Change Lives”, is bringing together more than 700 delegates from around Africa, including Malawi, Mozambique, Ghana, South Africa, and the United States of America.
Rotary Centrafrique are expected at the conference.
Delegates will get an opportunity for a tour of three Rotary projects in Zimbabwe. The projects will cover literacy in Zimbabwe through the distribution of medical books, tree planting and a health open day where they will offer services free of charge.
Rotary’s goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
