President Mnangagwa reassigns Minister Mathema

President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has with immediate effect reassigned, Minister Cain Mathema from the Primary and Secondary Education portfolio to become Minister without Portfolio in the President’s Office.

He has been replaced by Dr Evelyn Ndlovu.

Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda announced the changes.

“In terms of Section 104 (1) of the Zimbabwe Constitution Amendment number 20 of 2013, His Excellency the President, Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has made the following Ministerial appointments;

1. Hon. Evelyn Ndlovu as Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.

2. Hon. Cain G. Mathema as Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the President and Cabinet,” Dr Sibanda said.

Dr Ndlovu, until this appointment, was Minister of State in the Vice President’s Office and is the incumbent Bulilima Proportional Representative legislator.
