President Mnangagwa is an inspiration – Child President

President Mnangagwa’s life is an example and an inspiration to many young children in the country, the country’s child President Mukudzei Madzivire has said.
He said the head of state’s life from the liberation struggle into independent days, has great lessons to stir and motivate young learners to strive for the best.

Madzivire made these remarks this past weekend, at the Children’s Independence Party at State House yesterday.

The Child President said as young learners, they cherished the unique opportunity to interact and listen to the words of wisdom and receive guidance from a leader whose life has been dedicated to the betterment of young children through education.

He further expressed desire to see their generation defined by a demonstrable sense of responsibility, honesty, hard work resilience and hard work echoes with the core values of the recently reinstituted national Youth Service Programme.

Madzivire assured President Mnangagwa that being born free did not mean they were not aware of the supreme sacrifice that was paid by many gallant sons of the soil both living and dead to bring about the Independence if the country.

He added that learners understood the role they play in safeguarding the hard won freedoms as it is now embedded in the Competency Based Curriculum.
“We therefore understand our role in safeguarding that proud legacy and values as a nation and these are now happily embedded in our Competency Based Curriculum”, said the child president, bringing to spotlight the strides made in realigning the educational system with our values as a nation.

The child President saluted First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa for her role with Angel of Hope and initiating the Nhanga/Gota concept and in assisting the disadvantaged in our communities.
