His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is the Chancellor of all State Universities, today capped a total of 2394 graduates comprising of 7 doctorate graduates, 28 postgraduate diplomas, 422 masters degrees 1667 undergraduate degrees and 270 diplomas at Bindura University of Science and Technology’s 23rd Graduation Ceremony.
As part of rewarding excellence, the overall outstanding male and females students benefited from the President Mnangagwa Chancellor’s programme.
Prior to the University’s graduation ceremony, President Mnangagwa officially commissioned BUSE’s Optometry and Auditory School and the new Students Dining Hall.
Bindura State university also excelled in sports as presented by Vice Chancellor Prof.E Mwenje.
“BUSE basketball team participated at the University International Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg,Russia,” said Prof. Mwenje.
In addition, BUSE Sports Science students Busani Ndlovu and Dickson Kamungeremu qualified for the 13th All Africa Games.
“Tapiwa Makarau a product of BUSE, recorded as the 6th fastest 200m male sprinter at the 2024 Olympic Finals.
BUSE Enactus Team came 2nd place out of 136 Universities from 68 countries in “the Africa with Action Challenge”, Enactus World Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan,” noted Prof. Mwenje.
Additionally, BUSE Enactus Team finished 8th at the 2023 Enactus World Cup in the Netherlands.
