President appoints Acting Prosecutor General

President Mnangagwa has appointed Deputy Prosecutor General Nelson Mutsonziwa as the Acting Prosecutor General.
Mutsonziwa replaces Kumbirai Hodzi, whom he was deputizing.
In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda said;
“His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zinbabwe Cde. E.D. Mnangagwa has, in terms of Sextion 340 of the Constitution, appointed Mr Mutsonziwa as Acting Prosecutor General following the resignation of the former Prosecutor General, Mr Kumbirai Hodzi.”
The appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr Hodzi his predecessor resigned due to deteriorating health.
