Pamushana High School excelled at this year’s Orate Zimbabwe competitions, recently held at St Columba’s High School in Honde Valley.
Orate Zimbabwe, an affiliate of Orate Africa, showcases talent in public speaking and poetry across all local languages.
In the Venda poetry category, the school secured third place, and their debate team took second place. Pamushana also claimed first positions in both the Shangani and Ndau public speaking categories.
This year’s theme, “My Language, My Culture,” saw participants engage in poetry recitations and debates on key constitutional issues in Zimbabwe.
Pamushana’s debate team, along with the Shangani and Ndau public speaking teams, will represent the school at the regional competitions in Botswana.from the 8th to 14th of December, 2024.
