Zimbabwe Information Technology Company (ZITCO) a joint venture between Government owned entities and a Chinese company based in Msasa has started supplying laptops and desktops to government ministries.

The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, one of the first recipients has been given close to 50 laptops and desktops.
This was revealed by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr Nick Mangwana in a tweet this evening.

Mr Mangwana said “Zimbabwe Information Technology Company (ZITCO) which is a joint venture between Govt owned entities and a Chinese company based in Msasa has started supplying laptops and desktops to Govt Ministries. @InfoMinZW has been given close to 50 laptops and desktops. Things r happening”(sic).

Just three months ago, President Mnangagwa commissioned the ZITCO factory in Msasa.

It has a production capacity of at least 50,000 and up to 150,000 ICT units annually.
