Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has warned that there is a subdued power supply owing to a technical fault at Hwange Power Station.

This was communicated through a Power Supply Update notice from ZESA Holdings in which they asked consumers to use power sparingly.

ZESA holdings said, “The technical fault has resulted in depressed generation of electricity at Hwange Power Station. Restoration of service is underway and customers are advised to use the available power sparingly.”
Zimbabwe has a national demand of 2200 megawatts, and is currently generating half.
The generation breakdown is as follows:
Munyati 14MW
Bulawayo 14MW
