Net closes in on Murehwa violence perpetrators

The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested a 67-year-old man in connection with the political violence which happened in Murehwa recently.
Contrary to social media claims, the suspect Never Chimutashu is not part of the ruling and does not appear in any records.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest of the 67 year old Chimutashu, saying investigations are still underway.
In the video, it is apparent Chimutashu was not acting alone.
“Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of one suspect in Murehwa North Violence incident, the suspect is Never Chimutashu who is expected to appear in court in due course. The ZRP is still conducting investigations with a view of accounting for other suspects in this case,” said Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
Meanwhile, Zimbabweans condemned this brutal Murehwa violent acts. Zimbabweans are urging the police to arrest the culprits.
