President Mnangagwa has received and accepted a tribunal report of another investigation into the conduct of Judge of the High Court, Justice Erica Ndewere which was set up to investigate her fitness to hold the office of Judge.
Retired Judge, Justice Professor Simbi Mubako chaired the tribunal.
“We have presented our report to the President and he has accepted it. So it is now entirely up to him to decide what to do with it,” said Justice Professor Simbi Mubako after the presentation.
The President is not expected to give any remarks on the report today until he has sufficiently familiarised himself with the contents therein.
The Justice Simbi Mubako led tribunal was set up on November 19, 2020, to investigate Justice Ndewere’s fitness to hold office.
Charges against Justice Erica Ndewere arose on October 22, 2020, when she was accused of conduct inconsistent with the office of Judge.
