Mutiny in CCC camp ahead of Masvingo Rally

Masvingo will on Sunday February 20, 2022 host CCC leader Nelson Chamisa who is on a national campaign trail to garner support for his candidates ahead of the March 26 By-Elections.
Awaiting him is an eerie omniscience of mutiny as high ranking provincial and National members question Chamisa’s plan for victory.
A reliable source has confirmed that Masvingo top CCC members have been living in fear of being plucked from their positions like feathers by the erratic opposition leader.
They have unanimously voiced disappointment in how the young man has led the party saying this was never the way the late Morgan Tsvangirai conducted business.
The original founders and activists of the Learnmore Judah Jongwe era have bemoaned the dictatorial and greedy nature of operating shown by Chamisa which has sent many old members fleeing to other parties.
A silent faction which grows in number as whispers spread in all dark corners has condemned the tactics and intentions of Chamisa following the fielding of double candidates in Ward 5.
Traditionally the opposition used to hold its rallies at Mamutse grounds which was Chamisa’s trusted right hand man, Godfrey Kurauone’s stronghold.
With his absence, the tangle between Chamisa’s loyalist Aleck Tabe and Thikozile Muchuchuti who have both been fielded under the CCC ticket, furthermore splits the vote.
This weekend Chamisa is running away from the contested Mamutse Arena as Muchuchuti’s supporters outnumber Tabe’s.
They have chosen to converge at Rujeko Grounds in ward 7 where Richard Musekiwa is running for Councilor under the CCC ticket.
Musekiwa who is haunted by accusations of corruption and ritualistic practices is said to be involved in an abusive relationship with a disabled woman who lives in old Mucheke.
CCC corridors have echoed rumours of an alternative to the bankrupt party’s leadership.
One who is viewed in good fortune by their western donors.
Among the candidates is Tendai Biti who is revered by Stephen Chan as a more able and consistent option for leadership.
The inconsistencies and lack of solid ideology by the CCC under Chamisa have costed the party its support from western donors.
Chamisa has changed the branding and name of the party but failed to deliver a reasonable plan on policies.
Masvingo Province has been a spot of bother for Chamisa, his deputy Lynnet Karenyi-Kore addressed 65 hangers on in Rutenga recently.
