Masvingo City Mayor and His Deputy Eye Parliamentary Seat

MASVINGO – The current deputy mayor of Masvingo City, Wellington Mahwende – a ZANU PF stewart who won the recent primary elections will face it with his boss, Collen Maboke the current mayor and candidate of Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC).
Collen Maboke was once affiliated with the dying Mwonzora-led MDC-A and was very popular in most of the wards in the city.
After violent skirmishes during their nomination yesterday – Maboke will now represent the Triple C outfit.
He will battle it out with the illustrious Cde Mahwende in the fourth-coming harmonised elections.
