Marondera Ultra-Modern Shopping Mall Nears Completion

MASH EAST – A Marondera multi-million state-of-the-art shopping mall which is set to transform the regional economy of Mashonaland East is expected to open its doors next month.
The mall which is being built through the ZESA Pension Fund occupies at least 10,000 square meters and has been under construction for the past one and a half years.
The mall will feature a hospital, retail, wholesale and hardware shops.
Mashonaland East Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Mr Tavabarira Kutamahufa commended the owners for coming up with a modern complex that will enhance the image of the provincial capital.
“Contactors are currently putting in the final touch-ups on the building which is set to open this coming April.
“The development is expected to transform the infrastructural environment in Marondera and attract more businesses to the area,” he said.
He said as the nation moves towards attaining Vision 2030, infrastructural development is critical in unlocking economic value and opportunities.
The shopping mall is expected to provide much-needed job opportunities and economic growth in Mashonaland East.
