Manna resorts reduced to ashes

A few months after Norman Mataruka`s widow finished revamping Manna Resort in Glen Lorne Harare, the facility was earlier reduced to ashes.
The fire is suspected to have started from a lightning strike, the extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained but from the look of things the fire was widespread..
Manna Resort was one of many properties owned by the late Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Director Norman Mataruka, who died of Covid-19 in July 2020.
According to sources, the place is undergoing thorough investigation.
Locals are advised to avoid the area until authorities give the all-clear.
According to Crisis24, a local safety advisory platform, those moving around the area should seek alternative routes and allow additional travel time to nearby destinations.
They said people in the areas may consider staying indoors if the smoke is heavy.
“Eye irritation is possible; flush irritated eyes with copious amounts of clean water,” they said.
