Man Killed for Stealing Bluetooth Speaker

Harare – A Harare man was killed by a mob for allegedly stealing a Bluetooth speaker and two cellphones.
Nomore Mutseriwa (38) was killed along Bradfield Road in Waterfalls on April 6, police have confirmed.
“Police in Harare have confirmed investigating a mob attack which led to the death of a 38-year-old theft suspect in Harare’s Waterfalls suburb Thursday which occurred on 06/04/23 at a certain house along Bradfield Road, Waterfalls.
“The victim, Nomore Mutseriwa (38) died after being attacked by a mob for allegedly stealing two cellphones and a Bluetooth speaker at the house,” reads part of a police tweet on Friday.
However, national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi condemned the use of mob justice and urged citizens to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
“We are investigating the matter and would like to remind members of the public that it is not lawful to take the law into their own hands. We urge people to report any suspected criminal activity to the police”
Meanwhile, ZRP Marlborough is investigating a murder case in which two male juveniles (15) stabbed to death Nisadi Maruza (25) with a steel rod on the chest and back after an argument at Nduna Shops, SAS Mine, Mazowe.
The victim had allegedly seen the suspects talking to his girlfriend and this did not go well with him.
