Judge Vision 2030 through quality of healthcare – President Mnangagwa

President Mnangagwa says the state of hospitals and health delivery will be a signal to observe in the coming upper middle income economy.
He said Zimbabwe is scaling up all programs and projects for an efficient health delivery system.
Healthcare he said is a precursor for the achievement of an empowered and prosperous upper-middle income society by 2030.
He was speaking at the official opening of the new state of the art National Pharmaceutical (NatPharm) Warehouse at Sally Mugabe Hospital in Harare.
NatPharm is responsible for procuring and distributing medicines and medical supplies to all public health institutions and mission hospitals around the country.
The official commission ceremony led by President Mnangagwa is a result of the good partnership between Zimbabwe and the People’s Republic of China.
“The new Warehouse has total surface area of 3 220m2 and can hold 10 000 pallets. This increase is set
to significantly improve the operational efficiency in the access of medicines, and medical consumables. This will further enhance our quest to achieve Universal Health Coverage,
“Under the Second Republic, we are scaling up all programs and projects for an efficient Health delivery system as a precursor for the achievement of an empowered and prosperous upper middle income society by 2030.” President Mnangagwa
“I urge the Ministry of Health and NatPharm to complement Government’s ongoing import substitution strategy by ensuring that procurement of medicines supports the local manufacturing of pharmaceuticals,
“This particular state of art warehouse is part of my Government’s efforts, towards enhancing acces to quality healthcare services and a healthy nation, which is necessary for rapid economic transformation,” added President Mnangagwa.
In 2018, President Mnangagwa presented President Xi Jinping with 16 projects. President XI Jinping chose to fund 5 from the list.
Some of these are; New Parliament Building,Hwange 7 and 8, RGM Airport Expansion, NetOne Network Expansion Project and Natpharm Warehouse
