It`s dog eat dog in CCC…as fight for positions intensifies

The skirmishes which disrupted yesterday`s CCC press conference at the Media Centre could be a result of the party`s raging power squabbles which are emerging.
People who stopped CCC spokesperson Fadzai Mahere from delivering a vacuous press statement on election are suspected to be sympathisers of the old guard in the party`s youth assembly.
They are unhappy with the impending decision, in which Nelson Chamisa is set to announce Takudzwa Ngadziore as the new Youth Assembly Chairperson.
As reported by New Zimbabwe, CCC leader, Nelson Chamisa is anytime from now expected to announce elevation of former student activist Takudzwa Ngadziore as CCC party Youth Assembly Chairperson.
NewZimbabwe.com says Ngadziore is supposed to be assisted by Norway-based Pashor Sibanda who is coming in as Secretary General, while Womberaiishe Nhende will be elevated from Deputy spokesperson to National Organising Secretary.
“The three will complement those voted into office at MDC 2018 Congress in Gweru in leading a youth structure comprised of long serving activists such as Cecilia Chimbiri and Makomborero Haruzivishe, who recently skipped the country citing persecution,” states NewZimbabwe.com.
According to NewZimbabwe.com a faction within the assembly is of the notion that Ngadziore is too green to lead and Chamisa is abandoning ripe foot soldiers who have braved the front line for a novice.
The resistance to Chamisa’s decision to elevate Ngadziore, according to NewZimbabwe.com, have vowed not to respect him.
Yesterday`s events at Media Centre which have been wrongly attributed to the ruling party, could be a result of the vicious battles for supremacy in CCC.
As usual, the opposition ran to their favourite scapegoat, the ruling party.
Bystanders who saw the alleged culprits say that the people who walked out of the building with the banners had been seen earlier walking in with CCC members who were clad in yellow regalia showing familiarity in conversation.
Observers have concluded that this could possibly be the sparking ambers of the ongoing friction over positions in the unstructured opposition party.
