Hosia Mviringi
President Mnangagwa has arrived in Davos Switzerland to a warm welcome from Zimbabwean Diaspora community based in Europe.
Besides the regular programming at Davos, the President is expected to interact with Zimbabwean citizens resident in Europe from all walks of life who are eager to hear the Zimbabwean story as told by the country’s first citizen.
The President’s commitment to engagement and reengagement has seen him adopt an open door policy which is designed to afford equal access to his office by all citizens including those resident outside the country.
The President is on record emphasising how his government values the diaspora community as an important constituency in building the country’s economy.
He has consistently encouraged disposals to harness resources for investment back home and to encourage skills transfer as an economic enabler.
As part of his engagements at this event the President will have an open engagement with Zimbabwean European Diaspora later this week under the mantra “Leaving no one and no place behind”.
