The ruling ZANU PF has released a statement distancing itself a bogus document making rounds on social media, supposedly on the upcoming Central Committee elections.
ZANU PF National Secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Chris Mutsvangwa said people should not trust random sources, as the Commissariat will communicate any new developments.
“The Revolutionary Party ZANUPF wishes to advise is membership, Party structures and general of the public to ignore as fake, the purported document circulating in the Party’s name titled Election Guidelines for the Central Committee,” read the statement.
“We wish to put it on record that no such deliberations have taken place as yet about the criteria of qualifications for Central Committee positions or elections as it were, through the Secretary for Commissariat Cde Mike Bimha will issue the relevant circular and guidelines as at and when that is due,” Cde Mutsvangwa said.
