Hon Dr. Muswere lives up to Minister of all Media Houses Pledge

Minister of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services Hon Dr Jenfan Muswere is currently on a tour of Media Houses familiarising himself with News Houses and their operations.
Today, Hon Jenfan Muswere toured Nkululeko Rusununguko Television (NRTV) as he continued with his Media familarisation tour. The tour was guided by Mr Moses Matanda, NRTV Deputy General Mananger.
Yesterday he toured 3Ktv guided by Mr Pilate Machadu the Group CEO for Jester Media Services.
On this tour, Hon Muswere said that every media organisation he has visited has a positive trajectory for economic growth in Zimbabwe. He added that journalists’ cost of living issues are close to his heart, and they will be addressed.
On Tuesday Hon. Muswere had toured ZBC Mbare studios. He was accompanied by the Chief Director, Mr J Gandari.
On Monday Hon. Muswere engaged Private Media CEO’s, Editors and Managing Directors on their challenges in the Media Industry at the Ministry boardroom.
During this engagement, Hon Dr Muswere emphasised that the country needs a powerful, robust, and modern media that tells a positive story that will grow the country’s image and economy. He added that the Ministry has an open door policy.
This familiarising tour the Minister is embarking on is the first step towards making sure his office has an appreciation of the capacity of the local media.
Hon Muswere pledged forging a free space for expression and dialogue with the media on the day he was sworn in.
During an interview post swearing in ,at the State House, he said,
“Your fundamental rights in terms of freedom and access to information are well taken care of.
I assure you that I will be a Minister to all Media Houses, given the diversity because we are mainly focused on nation building. “
