The Higher Education Examination Council recorded a 66 percent pass rate in industrial training and trade tests examinations.
The results, were released earlier this week.
In a statement, Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development Minister Professor Fanuel Tagwira thanked everyone who played a part in the exam process.
“Their contribution towards the success of the examinations has resulted in the achievement of a 66% pass rate,” said Professor Tagwira.
HEXCO is the examining body for polytechnic colleges.
Trade test means are examinations meant to test the knowledge and the skills acquired by a trainee or any person in a designated trade or occupation.
The Industrial Training programmes aim to provide a managed good practical training within a particular time frame.
The Industrial Training component of the undergraduate curriculum integrates a fundamental component in the drive to strengthen the key ability, required to improve the graduate’s capacity to work.
In Industrial Training, a student is placed in an industry or outside organization for a period of time for a maximum of a year depending with curriculum.
