Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – In a momentous occasion, the Harvest House International Church Conference Centre in Bulawayo was officially opened on December 15, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of Zimbabwe’s President, His Excellency Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa, who delivered an inspiring speech.
“It gives me great pleasure to join you as we celebrate the official opening and dedication, for the glory of Almighty God, this magnificent building: the Harvest House International Church Conference Centre, here in Bulawayo,” President Mnangagwa stated.
The President acknowledged the journey of the Harvest House International Church, noting that the construction of this building commenced in 2018 and continued through the challenging COVID-19 pandemic period. “The completion of this building, therefore, stands as towering evidence of the determination, hard work and resilience of Harvest House International Church,” he said.
Highlighting the church’s growth, the President remarked, “To date, you have grown in leaps and bounds, to become a ‘Mega Church’ with thousands of congregates. Your presence in all cities, towns, growth points and some villages in Zimbabwe is praiseworthy.”
The President also emphasized the regional and global footprint of Harvest House, stating, “The footprint of Harvest House International Church within SADC countries, Ghana, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Europe and Australia, reflects your commitment to the instructions given to all of us in the Great Commission, by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in Matthew 28.”
In closing, President Mnangagwa commended the church leadership, saying, “I commend you Bishop and Harvest House as a whole, for pressing on towards the goal that has seen you realize this success. You did not grow weary in doing good and did not give up, now you are reaping a great harvest.”
The official opening of the Harvest House International Church Conference Centre marks a significant milestone for the church and the city of Bulawayo, cementing its position as a premier destination for meetings, exhibitions, conferences and events in Zimbabwe.
