Cabinet received and noted the Update on the Preparations for the Expo 2025 Osaka which will be held in Osaka, Japan, from 13th April, 2025 to 13th
October, 2025.
The official launch for Zimbabwe’s participation at the Expo 2025 Osaka will be held on 10 October 2024 and will be presided over by His Excellency Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, at the State House in Harare.
Speaking at the post cabinet briefing yesterday, Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Hon Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere noted that the official opening is expected to intensify awareness and fundraising for Zimbabwe’s preparations toward the event.
“The official launch program is expected to intensify awareness and raise private sector funding for Zimbabwe’s preparation for this global event,” said Minister Muswere.
“Preparations for the Expo are on course, with the construction of Pavilions and the handover of space to countries expected to be completed by the end of September, 2024,” added Minister Muswere.
However, internal works will commence in October 2024 and are expected to be completed by January 2025.
Expo 2025 will be held Osaka, Kansai, with the aim “to design our future society and explore how we can better preserve and protect both our wellbeing and our environment.”
