Eaglesvale teacher nabbed over drugs

A teacher at Eaglesvale Junior School in Harare was recently arrested over drug trafficking and has since appeared in court.
In a statement, the Christian school said Mrs Cecilia Chimhau understood to be an ECD teacher at the school was not engaging in these drug activities within the school premises.
“Mrs Cecilia Chimhau is facing charges of drug trafficking and has since appeared in court. She appeared at Harare Magistrate Criminal Court on 15 January 2022 and was remanded in custody following the refusal of her application for bail pending trial,” the school said in a statement.
The school said since the matter is before courts, there will not be any further comments.
“The school does not condone such alleged conduct and will take all necessary measures to ensure that our learners are protected.”
In the best interest of the students, the school shall be close monitoring the case and keep you informed of all material developments,” read the statement.
