Dynamos, Highlanders flex muscles

Castle lager Premier Soccer league (PSL) giants Dynamos FC and Highlanders are reinforcing their squads in anticipation of the resumption of the 2021/2022 soccer season.
Bouyed by a US$1million dollar sponsorship deal from oil giant Sakunda holdings, the clubs are on shopping spree set to bolster their squads during the current transfer window.
Sakunda pledged to pay sign-on fees amounting to $60 000 and further US$200 000 should one of them win the league.
The PSL resumes on 12th of February after taking a break on 21 December last year for the festive holiday.
Dynamos announced the signing of three players, Evans Katema, Brendon Mpofu and Ralph Kawondera.
“Evans Katema is back after leaving Chazunguza for Zambian side Zanaco at the end of the 2020 Premier Soccer League season.
He had joined us mid season in 2019, scoring six goals before his move,” the Glamour boys said.
Brandon Mpofu has been captured from Harare neighbors Caps United.
Mpofu is a wingback who plays from the left flank.
Ralph Kawondera, the attacking midfielder who previously featured for Triangle and FC Platinum was also added by Dembare for an undisclosed fee.
Kawondera was among the 2019 soccer star of the year finalists.
Highlanders dared moneybags FC Platinum through snapping striker Stanley Ngala on a three-year deal.
Ngala previously played for PSL debutants Manica Diamonds.
Bosso are also rumoured to be eying the reunion with former star Ralph Kutsanzira who is also under the books of FC Platinum.
Bosso have been struggling to fill in the gap left by striker Prince Dube who is now based in Tanzania.
The PSL took a break after three matches had been played.
Debutants Manica Diamonds are topping the league with nine points, followed by Ngezi Platinum who are sitting on seven points.
Dynamos and Highlanders are on five and 16 respectively.
